So far, there only are some of my old movie-reviews in here. The archive will grow in time.

Anna and the King
A fantastic movie with Jodie Foster as Anna. I think it's the first movie I saw which could mix love-story, action, comedy and even some quite bloody/brutal scenes.
Galaxy Quest
I think every Star Trek fan should watch this movie. It's not a parody in the first place like Space Balls, but it shows all the clichees (especially of the Captain-Kirk-Crew) in a VERY funny way. And another difference: It has a cool story of it's own, too an the special effects are excellent. Unfortunatelly I have to admit that I never would have recognized Sigourney Weaver if I hadn't read her name in the cast-list.
Gladiator
A friend of me got quite a crush on Russel Crowe, Mr. Gladiator himself, and watched this movie several times before I did. So I was a little bit curious if I would be as fond of the actor and the movie as her. Well, Gladiator IS a great movie! Its special effects are fantastic and the story will take your breath. The bad guy is a Cesar in Rome, and you can't help but hate him. Only the brutality which is shown in the many fights is a little bit too much, I think. I'm just sure it would have worked with less blood and torn bodies. Although I usually prefer lovestories and happy ends I really liked this movie and the ending was perfect for it: the hero killed the bad guy in one last and breathtaking duel ... but Gladiator Maximus died shortly after it because Cesar cheated and harmed him with a fatal wound before the fight. One thing is sure: Russel Crowe will get a lot of attention after this movie.
