I read this book many years and many other books (not only fantasy) after the Malloreon-Saga. I hardly knew anything about the "old" adventures, anymore. So it was very interesting to discover many of the backrounds and events that had the Belgariad-Saga "as consequence". And I just loved to learn more about Belgarath, especially how he became this mighty sorcerer.
