Hi out there! I'll present you my favorite movies here. I will update this site, so there only will be the recent ones. Beware, there might be spoilers in the texts.

You can look at older movie-reviews in my archive.

Mission Impossible
I kind of liked this one more than Gladiator. Tom Cruise is just much more handsome than Russel Crowe in my opinion ... and "Ethan Hawk" is just the perfect good looking and smart secret agent. Even better than "James Bond", since this guy is getting a little bit old now ... The stunts are literaly incredible and fantastic, but don't you expect that of an action-movie? You don't expect a deep and interesting story of this genre, too, do you? So, you won't get disappointed in those two aspects when you watch MI-2. ;) There is much slow-motion in it to emphasize the fight-scenes and some other high-tension scenes. I guess, if all of these scenes would have been shown in normal time, the movie would have been over after 30 minutes. Still, it won't bother you very much ... especially since you can take a closer look at Tom Cruise then. ;) The idea of using latex-masks to fool the other side (both sides use it) get's "boring" faster. Although it's fun to determine if this is the real Ethan Hawk now or if it's his opponent, for example, you start asking yourself why they just don't use some other of there many fantastic agent-tricks, at some point ... One thing really surprised me int his movie: there is a real love story, not just the typical one-night-stands with each of the many beautiful women who cross the way of the hero. No, there is indeed a happy end!!! I'm curious if this woman will still be there in the next part of Mission Impossible.
Titan AE
When I first saw a trailer for this movie, I thought it was a normal science-fiction movie ... I didn't realize it was animation till the first characters were shown. The graphics are really great. A mixture of CG and hand-drawn pictures. Like in Anastasia the characters move like real actors and even the most usual movements get facinating. There is no singing in the movie, still the soundtrack is quite cool. For those who like the more musical-like animated-movies ... you won't miss it. Titan AE is a great action-movie with cool graphics and a brand new story with some funny gags. The earth is destroyed by the aliens Drej, who are pure engergy, the surviving humans have to live as outcasts among aliens on space-stations. Cale is the hero who bears the map and key to find the spaceship Titan. His father invented it, because it can create a new homeworld for humankind. Still, Cale has to be convinced to believe in this dream, too, in the first place ... while the Drej are always on his heels to capture him. Of course there is a girl, too: Akima. And there's betrayal, because Korso (once a friend of Cales father) has his own ideas of the future. In my opinion this movie is more realistic than a real action-movie ... the good guys get hurt when the bad guys shoot at them ... even several times! And they bleed! They don't just get a red spot painted on the hit area, they really seem to feel the pain and they really loose blood. Oh no! It's no japanese Anime with exaggerated battles, it's a real good movie and it's a pity I could watch it in cinema only 3 times. By the way ... of course there's a happy ending! ;)
